1. Measure the space, then choose the strand

Use string or a tape measure along the exact route: railing, fence or accessible garden edge. Include bends and the route to the solar panel. Check the listing for total length, illuminated length and panel lead; do not assume all three are the same. Two separate strands need two suitable panel positions.

2. Choose the effect

  • Soft outline: trace a railing or fence with a small-light strand.
  • Visible sparkle: use crystal-effect globes around a tree or seating area.
  • Decorative rhythm: space lantern styles along a patio edge.
  • Indoor hosting: place a cordless table lamp away from spills and use its actual controls to set the brightness.

3. Plan for Canadian fall and winter

Place solar panels in direct daylight. Shade, short days, snow cover and cold can reduce charging and nightly runtime. Keep the panel clear according to its instructions. Decorative solar lights are not primary illumination, security lighting or a guaranteed all-night winter light source.

4. Check the box and test before installing

Compare the received items with your selected listing and save the packaging. Charge and test the lights as instructed before mounting them. Check cables and housings for damage. Use only the supplied or explicitly compatible charging equipment. Follow the product instructions and any stated indoor/outdoor limitations.

5. Mount thoughtfully

Use supports suitable for the surface and product. Keep walkways clear and avoid pinching cables, puncturing roof materials or using metal staples through wires. Do not climb onto a roof for a decorative setup; use a qualified installer for high or inaccessible locations. Mounting clips are included only when stated on the product page.
